About Ellesa

Ellesa has had the privilege of joining with people on their journeys of healing for over 25 years as a massage practitioner. She received her initial formal training at the Port Townsend School of Massage. An extensive apprenticeship in Thailand in Traditional Thai massage added to her growing knowledge of international bodywork modalities. Ellesa has placed a special emphasis on supporting women through pregnancy, as well as helping babies adjust to their new world.

You are invited to consider massage as care-giving support for a more rapid recovery from injury, pregnancy or age-related discomforts. Through soothing relaxation, and the deep unwinding of unconsciously held tension, bodywork is a time-honored method of  ameliorating the stress from daily life challenges and major events. Imagine a state of greater harmony, balance and vitality.

This practice seeks to foster a climate of inclusion of all people regardless of gender, religion, race, ethnicity, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin.

"Ellesa is an effective and nurturing healer. In my son's first years, when my body was going through so many changes and challenges, I don't know what I'd have done without her -- probably ended up with an injury! Instead, I felt so cared for by someone truly wise, quietly loving, and attentive. She went the extra mile for me every time and I am forever grateful to her."

I was injured in an automobile accident a little over three years ago. As a result I have constant pain at the base of my neck and down my back. Therapeutic massage provided by Ellesa Hunter has helped reduce the muscle tension related to the pain and relieve recurrent muscle spasms. It has allowed me to maintain my active lifestyle in spite of the injury.

"Ellesa Hunter is probably the best massage therapist I've had out of about a half dozen that I've visited regularly over the years. I love her strong hands, which are great for plowing through the tensest muscles. I've also visited her with tendinitis problems a couple of times, and she is very knowledgeable about dealing with those kinds of issues. Friendly, smart, firm but gentle, I can't recommend her highly enough."

"Ellesa is hands down the most intuitive, skilled and professional massage therapist I have ever encountered. I have been her loyal customer for over ten years and my health has benefited from her care. I would rate her five stars and then some!"

Towards the end of my pregnancy, I needed someone who could do prenatal massage, so I asked for Ellesa’s contact information.  I swear, she kept me walking those last three months of pregnancy! I have continued as her client for ten years (wow!).  She has an air of peace and welcoming about her.  She listens to your voiced needs as well as listens to your body as she gives the massage.  I am a very happy client and whole heartedly recommend her.

I’ve been Ellesa's client for about 12 years. Thanks for so much help with keeping my body (and spirit) healthy for biking, walking and especially for playing the flute, you have made an enormous difference as I’ve grown into my 60’s. Your care, your caring, your professionalism are all SO appreciated.
