Offering over 26 years of massage experience, incorporating a unique combination of advanced bodywork modalities to address specific client needs.
Clinical Treatment Massage
Clinical Treatment relieves muscle spasms, breaks up scar tissue and supports the healing of injuries. It quickens recovery time from illness or injury and aids in a more complete recuperation. Many treatment modalities are used in Ellesa's Clinical work such as Lomi Lomi, Myofascial release and stretching targeted to address a client’s specific needs. Shoulder tendon recovery is one of Ellesa’s specialties. Aromatherapy options are available to augment the healing process.
Prenatal massage nurtures a woman by alleviating physical and emotional discomfort while lowering stress and increasing circulation. It improves labor outcomes and shortens the duration of labor. Massage eases and supports the transition into motherhood in the post partum phase.
Hot Stone Massage
Smooth basalt stones from the Pacific shore are lifted from heated water and used in long flowing strokes to soothe areas of chronic and acute discomfort. The warmth from the stones penetrates deeply into tissues releasing tension and providing profound relaxation and a soothing meditative state.
Craniosacral Therapy supports the body's natural homeostatic ability to restore and maintain balance for optimal health and well-being. Ellesa makes use of this technique in most sessions. Applying various cranial-holds, she delicately senses the pulse of the cranial-spinal fluid and assists the body into deep relaxation where unwinding and healing occur more easily. In infants, Craniosacral Therapy can aid in many ways such as with: birth trauma, breastfeeding issues, digestive and sleep difficulties.
Traditional Thai Massage
In Traditional Thai massage the client is fully dressed in loose fitting clothing and supported on a futon on the floor. Thai massage is like assisted yoga combined with acupressure. The focus is on increasing flexibility, tonifying organs and rejuvenating the body's energy system.
Infant Massage Class
Infant Massage is a way of communicating love through nurturing touch. It helps to enhance a loving relationship between an infant and their parents. It has been practiced for thousands of years in India as well other countries around the world. Classes taught individually or in group setting.
Lactation massage uses gentle lymphatic and manual touch to encourage breastmilk flow while reducing the pain associated with adjusting to nursing.
